John M Hiestand

was born on 25 Oct 1850 at Ohio age 28 in 1880 census.  He appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Eden twp., Wyandot Co., Ohio, in the household of his parents Mathias Hiestand and Nancy Hiestand.  He appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Benton twp., Knox Co., Missouri, in the household of his parents Methuselah Hiestand and Nancy Hiestand, he was age 19.  In 1879 John M Hiestand married Maria Sullivan married 20 years in 1900.

Mariah is the mother of five children with three living after 20 years of marriage. Listed with them this day are Ada and Delbert.

The city looks like "Averyville" but there is no such place found on GNIS. The township shows Richwood, but that is not listed either! He appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois, in the household of William O Chance and Ada Grace Chance, age 79 and widowed. This is the home of his daughter's family. He died after 1930.
