Ellison, John, born 12/7/1761 on Delaware River in New Jersey; moved from Augusta County, Virginia, 1770 to Greenbrier County (area later Monroe County), Virginia; entered service 1778 in Monroe County, Virginia, resided on Hans Creek, as indian spy; applied for Pension there in 1834 & Pension Application Rejected.
