I am looking for information about the family of Mary Alstott who was baptized August 18, 1773, Berks Co., PA. Her parents are listed as Johannes or John Nicholas and Catherine Alstott. Nicholas Alstott (ALTSTOTT, ALSTADT),was b/bpt. 27 April 1727, Freinsheim/Freinstein German, d. before 11/1783, Rockingham Co., VA. Catherine LNU was b. abt 1730 and died abt 1809, Rockingham Co., VA. Their children were John, b. 1755, Elizabeth, Susanna, Jacob, Daniel, and Mary b. 1773.
Nicholas Alstott moved from Berks County, Pennsylvania, to Rockingham County, Virginia, about 1780. After he died in 1783, his widow Catherine married Christopher Hauer/Hower/Howard.
Mary Alstott married John Depoy September 12, 1792, SHENANDOAH CO., VA.(MARRIAGE SHENANDOAH CO.VA BY VOGT & KETHLEY PG 233.) I have identified two sons: Isaac Alstott Depoy and Nicholas Depoy, both born in Rockingham, VA. The Depoy family moved first to the Ross Co., Ohio, area -- about 1815 -- and parts of the family moved on to Indiana.
Mary's brother, John Alstott married Margaret Williams and her brother Jacob married Mary Williams.
