    Court Record, Page 52—20 December, 1744: This Court grants Adms. on the estate of John Cole, late of Hartford decd., unto Elizabeth Cole, widow, who gave bonds with Ozias Goodwin of Hartford for £600.

    Page 67—20 June, 1752: Elizabeth Cole, Adms., now moves for a distribution of the estate: Whereupon this Court appoint Joseph Talcott, Joseph Holton and John Skinner, of Hartford, to distribute the sd. Estate to the heirs.

    Page 81 (Vol. XVII) : Articles of Agreement, made and concluded upon this 3 day of December, A. D. 1754, by and between the heirs of Mr. John Cole, late of Hartford deceased, are as follows:

    AGREEMENT.

    Imprimis: We, Jonathan and Elizabeth Nobles, Jonathan and Jerusha Easton, Timothy and Lydia Shepherd, Daniel Goodwin, guardian to and in behalf of Nathaniel, Daniel, Dorothy and Sarah Goodwin, heirs of Dorothy Cole (alias Goodwin) deceased, Mary Cole, Stephen and Sarah Hopkins, and Thomas and Susannah Nobles, for ourselves and our heirs, do covenant, promise and agree, to and with Phineas Cole and John Cole, that for and in consideration of the sum of £22 old tenor by them to us in hand paid or secured to be paid, we do remise, release and forever quitt claim unto them the sd. Phineas Cole and John Cole, and to their heirs and assigns forever, all the parts and parcels of the homested lately the property of our honoured father John Cole of Hartford deceased, which was set out and distributed to them by order of the Court of Probates, by Mr. Joseph Talcott and John Skinner, according as the same is butted and bounded in the distribution dated August 22nd, 1752, and accepted by sd. Court, with the mansion house and all other buildings
    erected thereon, and with the appurtenances and priviledges thereunto belonging.

    2nd. We, the said Phineas Cole and John Cole, do covenant and agree that for and in consideration of the full performance of the above recited premises, we do forever quitclaim unto the above named Jonathan et. Als. all the right, title and interest that we have, etc., in a lot of land in Hartford called Jones's lot, 3 acres more or less, bounded cast on Joseph Sheldon, Daniel Wells and Isaac Sheldon's land, north and south on highways, and west on John Skinner's land, with all the priviledges and appurtenances thereof, etc.

    In confirmation thereof we have hereunto mutually set to our hands and affixed our seals the day and year above named.
