John Choate [#27], s/o Samuel Choate and Mary Williams, b. Chebacco 19 Jan 1712 [note: no such birth record found], d. 1759, m. Abigail ---. Resided in Norwich, CT. "It appears that he made his will Stempeber, 1758, and it was probated November, 1759."
[Note: will not located. "It appears" suggests it was not seen by the author either, and this is simply the record of some correspondant. Norwich (assuming that is where the will would be handled) Probate volume 2 which covers the pertinent date range, is not indexed, and the entries are not in date order (not even by court date) so without inspecting each of the hundreds of pages, one cannot tell if the will is recorded there or not. No gravestone or record of his death has been found, either.]
