Marriages
John Artman m. Abigail Mason (Hester-Slough Genealogy). This Abigail was the daughter of Martin and Christina (Waite) Mason and a sister of Margaret Mason that married Michael Artman, brother of John Artman.
John Artman and Betsy Dewitt, daughter of Elisha Dewitt. Surety Elisha Dewitt. Bond dated 24 Sept. 1801. No marriage return.
Believe John Artman's first two sons were by Abigail Mason (See Family Group Sheet attached). I have been unable to find a record of Abigail's father's name.
John Artman and family removed to Perry County, Indiana and he reportedly died on 20 June 1939 [sic].
