Will Transcript

In the name of God Amen, I George Wickline of the township of Robeson, County of Berks and province of Pennsylvania being weak in body but of Sound Memory blessed be God do this twenty fourth day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and fifty four make and publish this my last will and Testament in manor [manner] following that is to say first of all I l[e]ave to my Loveing wife christian my Whole Estate after my lawfull debts are payd during her Life and after her Decease it is to be Equ[al]ly devided between my Children four which are born and one which is not yest born provided the Children proves obaydient and somes up in their dutey to their Mother if not she may sell them to whome she pleaseth but if my Wife that now is Mareyeth a nother man and he proves idle or a dronk and or hurts the plantation move off and lave [leave] it to my Children
in witness hereof I the said George Wickline have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Reading, Berks the twenty first day of October in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Fifty four then personally appeared James Cadwalader of Robeson Township Yeoman and John George Weldel of the same Township Yeoman and the said James Cadwalader upon his Solemn Affirmation did declare and affirm and the said George Wendel upon his Solemn Oath on the Holy Evengelists did depose and Say that they were present and heard the Testator in the above writing, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of George Wickline named publish and declare the same writing to be his last Will and Testament; they they saw the said George Wickline also Seal the same; and that the name George Wickline thereto Subscribed was of the Hand Writing of the aforesaid James Cadwalader at the Request of the said George Wickling; and that the said George Wickline was at the time of doing thereof & every part thereof of sound & disposing Mind, memory & understanding accoring to the best of their Knowledge & Belief and further the said James Cadwalader & George Wendell did, upon their Solemn Oath & Aff8irmation respectively declare that Jacob Seigfrydt the other Subscribing Witnes was present and with them did Sign his name thereto as a Witness the names Janes Cadwalader and John George Wendel being their own Hand Writing respectively.

Letters of Administration under the Seal of the said Office with a true Copy of the afore written Will of the therein named Testator George Wickline dece'd thereunto annexed were granted to Christian Wickline, Widow of the said Dece'd no Executor or Executrix being therein named who was first Sworn as an Executrix.
Inventory to be Exhibited on or before the second Day of December next and an account of her Administration on or before the first Day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Fifty Five.
