Identity

Several trees identify the wife of Elias as Joan Maundison, but none cite a source other than each other. There seems to be little or no evidence for the name of the wife of the Elias Tuckett who died in 1687 at the age of 90. There was an Elias Tuckett whose wife Joane had children Elias in 1673, Nicholas in 1676, and probably also Simon in 1679 (all in Crediton, Devon).^[2], but this was unlikely to have been the Elias Tuckett who was supposedly 90 in 1687.
