I started creating my wife's family tree some twenty-five years ago when I retired from teaching (after almost forty year's at the chalkface). My extension to my own family was somewhat restricted as my surname is common, and in a city as large as London there are many thousand possibilities. Add to that, my paternal grandmother's name was Webb and the problem repeated itself. Fortunately her parents named her Elizabeth Eliza - an unusual combination of given names - and that was of initial assistance.
My interest has been quite catholic and so I have wandered far and wide and my present collection of related names now exceeds 7,500 though obviously not all related to me!
As I learn more about this program I will start adding detail, but will have to edit sections from my overall GEDCOM to avoid taking someone else's work without permission.
