Reared on the upper waters of the left Sandy Creek (WV), near the present residence of Don Dowler. Samuel Sheppard officiated at the marriage. His home for many years was at the site now [1978] occupied by Charles Thomas. In later life removed from Sandy Creek to Windy and his lands are now occupied by the Boice heirs at Windy, WV.
