One woman or multiple women?

It should be noted that none of the sources for her first name are original records - all are transcriptions, whether in handwriting or typed. This includes the 1850 census record, since the census pages we see today (as images) were transcribed from original forms that have since been destroyed. This also applies to her son's marriage, her daughter's death and her own death records which were all transcribed into ledgers. Some of the originals may have been difficult to read. In particular, the transcription of her marriage at Ancestry.com has her husband's name as Abraham, corrected to Absalom by a user-contributed comment.

Therefore, it is possible that all the records refer to a single woman, probably named Jemmah (her own death record)[5], who may have had a second name that she occasionally used (maybe Iowa or Hannah), and whose name was transcribed in various ways. Alternately, it is possible that Absalom married Iowa Lyons in 1819[4], Hannah/Ann Unknown by 1827[6][7] and Jemmah Lyons by 1832[8].
