    BRUNE, Jeannette, age 79, 116 So. 1st St., Lynden, passed away in Lynden on Tues. May 26, (1987). Born July 29, 1907 in Strassburg, No. Dakota, Mrs. Brune was the daughter of the late Klaas & Jeanette Radder and moved with her family to the Lynden area in 1909. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Lynden and on April 21, 1927 was married to her husband Bert in Lynden. She is survived by her husband Bert; 2 daughters, Myrna Brune of Seattle, Elaine Versteeg of Bellingham; 3 grandchildren, Mrs. Shelley Versteeg-Smit & husband Randy of Lynden, Bruce Versteeg & wife Cindy of Everson & Kara Versteeg of Seattle; 2 great-grandchildren, Tara & Britton Smit of Lynden and adopted daughter, Minh Thi Nguyen Thi of Seattle and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted on Fri. May 29, at 1 P.M. in the First Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Ken Havert officiating. Burial will follow in Monumenta Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lynden Christian Schools, 501 Drayton St., Lynden 98264. Services are under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden.
