    Libbius Forbes, and Mrs. Hannah Warren, both of Upton, Massachusetts, were married in 1795. They had a son, Jasper, in 1796

    1804, Libeus and his son, Jasper, headed west. They were living in Knox County, Ohio, by 1814. When Libeus remarried ca. 1817, Jasper Forbes left home and settled in Madison County, Ohio. He married Polly Shepherd (d. 1820) there in 1819. They had one son born in 1820. He married 2) Jane Danby (d. ca. 1823) in 1820. They had two children, 1821-1823. Jasper disappears from the records after 1826. Family traditions states in was captured by Indians and lived with them for seventeen years. His three children lived in Tazewell County, Illinois, and raised families there.
