Absolom is the son of Jasper Forbes and Polly Shepherd born at Pike (near Essex). Married the first time to Sarah Blue and 2nd to Elizabeth Ann Gilbert. A variation of his middle name is Elijah. Absolom actually died at Hittle, which is now Armington.
