Janette (Williams) Wright (1837-1864 age 27)

Janette (Williams) Wright died during the childbirth of her daughter Helen Janette "Mocco" Wright on 22 Feb 1864. Her husband, Eugene Wright, remarried 7 months later to Alice O. Seek. Janette's daughter was first cared for by her mother, Sally (Coy) Williams and later by her sister, Melissa (Williams) Simmons. As Mocco remembers her upbringing, her step-mother was not kind to her which explains why other relatives raised Mocco.

Janette's husband, Eugene Wright, led a very interesting life but unfortunately committed suicide at age 50 when Mocco was age 11. From the clothing Mocco wore in her early-childhood photos, she appeared to be well cared for.
