Obituary

[Transcribed from clipping found on ancestry.com]

Died, At Crawfordsville, on the 18th in___., after a short illness, Mrs. Jane Savage, wife of Reuben Savage, deceased, in the 75th year of her age. She was among the oldest settlers in this County, a woman universally respected and beloved, and her departure from this life's scenes, will leave a vacuum in society that will not be soon filled. The high estimation in which she was held by the community, was manifested by the large attendance upon her funeral. Her death was improved by a suitable and forcible sermon by Rev. D. W. Downey.
