3. JAMES3 WILSON (JOHN2, ROBERT1)1 was born Abt. 1750 in Ireland or Scotland, and died 1824 in near Buffalo Creek. He married NANCY HALL.

Notes for JAMES WILSON: (from "Old Oxford and her Families") Two of the four children of John Wilson of Ireland were JAMES AND WILLIAM WILSON. On May 16th, 1760, they immigrated to Philadelphia and began the Wilson clan in America.

JAMES WILSON landed at Philadelphia, ultimately came to the headwaters of the James River, where by 1760, he owned 382 acres on Kennedy's Mill Creek, a part of Borden's Land Grant. On October 30, 1789, he became owner of land on Buffalo Creek, and died in 1824. He married NANCY HALL, and they had seven children. They are listed as follows: 1. James H. Wilson 2. John A. Wilson 3. Thomas G. Wilson 4. Polly Wilson 5. Mary Wilson 6. Betsey Wilson 7. Peggy Wilson
