He was a school teacher, had poor health and never married. A not in the Saturday, 11 Jan 1930 issue of the Blue Ridge Summitt Post reads " In memory of James Howard Turner, born near Loving, GA., May 24, 1901 and lived there until his death on Dec 19, 1929."
