Page 383-385, 20 May 1771, Proved 24 September 1772, James Bouling (Bolling) well and in good health and sound memory, I give to my children the estate at the death or marriage of my well beloved wife Elizabeth Bolling, to be divided as follows: Judith, John, Mary, Jamesand Ann shall have one equal part and Ann and William shall have 2 equal parts.
To my son William Boling (Bolling) one tract of land in Pittsylvania County on Boling Creek.
Appoint my wife Elizabeth Boling (Bolling) and son James Boling, Jr. as executors

Wit: William Edwards, Sr., Thomas Edwards, Isham Edwards.

Pittsylvania County was a parent county of Henry, which was formed in 1777. Tombstone reads: In Memory of Mary Rae who departed this life 12 Feb 1814 age 71 years, She was a pious member of the Baptist Church for forty years before her death.Mary's grave is between her husband, Rev. John Rae (Rhea) and daughter, Mary Brazeal.

(Source: Record book 1737-1800, counties of Halifax, Pittsylvania, Henry, Franklin, andPatrick in VA. William Atkinson operated a ferry on the PamunkeyRiver in 1684. Deed Book 4, Page 172, April 13, 1743. FromChristopher Bolling of Goochland to James Bolling of Goochland for 20La certain tract of land in Goochland below Willis River, on the branches of the river and bounded by said James Bolling, James Cunningame about 250 acres, which land was granted to said Bolling bypatent dated March 23, 1739. Signed: Christopher (B his mark) Bolling Wit: John Atkinson Lydda (her mark) Bolling Recorded May 17, 1743. Lydia, the wife of Christopher Bolling relinquished her right of dower to the conveyed lands.

Pittsylvania County, Virginia Wills, Deed Book 5, 1778-1780 by TLCGenealogy, Miami Beach, FL. page 383 In the name of God Amen the twentith day of May one thousand seven hundred and seventy one I James Boulling of Pittsylvania County am well and in health and of good and sound memory Thanks be to god forit and calling to remembrances the uncertain estate of this transitorylife and that all flesh must yield unto death when it shall please god to call, do make constitute ordain and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following, revoking and annulling by these presents all and every testament and testaments will and willsheretofore by me made and declarred either by word or wrighting andthis is to be taken only for my Last will and testament and none other and first of all being pentent and sorry for my sins past most humbly desiring forgiveness for the same I give and commit my soul untoalmight god my saviror and redeemer in whom and by the merrits of Jesus Christ I trust and believe assurreadly to be saves and to have full remission and forgiveness of all my sins and that my soul with mybody at the general day of the Resurrection shall use again with joy and thro the merits of Christ to death and h___a ssion p-apecy andinjoy the kingdom of heaven prepared for his elect and chosen and my body to be buried in such a place where it shall please my Executors herafter named to appoint and now for the settling of my temporal estate and such goods, chattels, and debts as it has pleased god for above my deserts to be stow upon me I do order give and dispose thesame in manner and form following that is to say first I will that all those debts and dues as I owe in right or consiences to any manner of person or persons whatsoever shall be well and truly contented andpaid or ordained to be paid, within a convenient time after my decease by my executor hereafter named. Item I give and bequeath all my moveable effects unto my children at the death or marriage of my beloved wife to be divided as followeth towit: Judith and John and Mary and James and Ann shall have one equal part and ann and William shall have two equal parts. I give the same to them and their heirs and to their own proper use and behaveforever. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Wiliam Boleing one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Pittsylvania county on Boleing Creek. I give the same to him and his heirs to their ownproper use and behalf forever. and now after the settling of my estate I have my beloved wife Elizabeth Boleing and my son James Boleing, Junr my hooly and solly Executors In witness whereof I set my hand andseal this day and date above written. At a court held for Pittsylvania County on the 24th day of September 1772 The above last will and testament of James Bolling dec'd was presented in court by James Bolling Junior and Elizabeth Bolling executor and executrix therein mentioned and proved by the oaths of two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Exor and Exectrix who made oath according to law, cetificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form giving security where upon they together with Thomas Edwards and John Rea their securities entered into and acknowledged their bond according to same.
