Disambiguation

NOT to be confused with Capt. Henry Shepler (1737-1781) of Berks County, Pennsylvania. Some researchers have confused the two, although they may be related in some way. [Some researchers believe that this Henry may have been an uncle of Capt. Henry Shepler, but additional research is needed to prove any suspected relationship]. It should be noted that this Henry Shipler was clearly of legal age prior to 1748/49 when he was acquiring land on the South Branch of the Potomac River and was several years older than Capt. Henry Shepler, who would have only been about 11-12 years old at the time.
