  • Henry Baughman received a patent for 780 acres "on the Greenbrier River, opposite mouth of Muddy Creek", "Fork of the Greenbrier River and Wolf Creek" on 10 August 1759, as listed in the disposition below:

  • Page 361.--9th March, 1769. Jacob ( ) Boughman, eldest son and heir of Henry Boughman, deceased, to Andrew Lewis, £100, 780 acres on Greenbrier, opposite mouth of Muddy Creek, patented to Henry Boughman, 10th August, 1759, Fork of the Green Bryer River and Wolf Creek. Delivered: James McDowell per order to whom the lands now belong, 16th April, 1811 (?)
