Henderson Walton, son of James McClung Walton and Nancy Harris, born April 4 1865 at the home of Lucinda Ocheltree.

Since the informant indicated that he was born in her house, it appears that the birth was registered shortly after it happened (that is, not many years later, as many birth registrations were). If he was illegitimate, as it appears (the only known James McClung Walton was married to Margaret Ocheltree at the time, and Henderson was not born in his father's house), his father was known and he was given his father's surname in the birth register.
