Aunt Frieda told me once that . . . Grandmother (Henry's mother) did not like the name Samuel. So when Henry was about 5 yrs old, his mother took him on her knee and told him to always remember that his other name was Steven and not Samuel. Henry always remembered and went to his grave insisting his middle name was Steven.
