Oswego Times and Express, 30 Apr 1885: DIED-- In East Amboy, N.Y., April 6, 1885, of consumption, Hattie R., oldest daughter of James H. and Rebecca Durgee, aged 25 years and 13 days. Beautiful in her strength of character, a loving daughter, self-reliant in trial, patient in affliction, was a member of the Baptist church of Hillsboro. Her translation into the better life gives comforting assurance to mourning ones that the full fruition shall be found in the knowledge and glory of heaven. Her memory will long abide, a hallowed benediction in the hearts of all who knew her.
