Herman Markus died at the home for the aged at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 1928, aged 78 years, 5 months and 18 days. He had been in poor health for some time. He is survived by his wife, one son, John, at Iowa Falls, and a daughter Mrs. George Smits, at Prairie City. The funeral is appointed for this afternoon, Thursday, with Rev. H. J. Pietenpol of Otley in charge. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery.
