Hannah ROCKLIFF (1824-1906) & Jonathan GRAHAM (1833-1905) Daughter of Henry ROCKLIFF & Mary ELLIOTT. Born: May 1824 at Kirk Smeaton, Yorkshire, ENGLAND. Baptised: 30 May 1824 at Kirk Smeaton, Yorkshire, ENGLAND. She travelled to Tasmania with her brother Francis ROCKLIFF (11 June1829). They arrived in Melbourne on the "Merchant Prince" in July 1859. Married: Jonathon GRAHAM on 18 December 1866 at "Robin Hood's Well" farmin Sassafras (Francis ROCKLIFF'S home) by Rev. Hayward a Wesleyan. Apparently they lived at "Robin Hood's Well" during Francis' return visitto ENGLAND in 1867. Hannah and Jonathon established the "Rock Field" property. Jonathan GRAHAM was born in 1833 at Black Rock, IRELAND and sailed toAUSTRALIA on the "Commodore Parry" in 1855. He was a surveyor and as amember and Chairman of the Road Trust, he was responsible for theestablishment of many of the roads and bridges in the district. He alsoprovided plans and specifications for the Wesleyan Church in 1876. He was appointed Inspector of Roads and he and Hannah moved to Deloraineand later to Latrobe. They had no family. Died: Hannah died 22 December 1906. Jonathan died 8 March 1905. Buried: Both are buried in the Latrobe General Cemetery.
