Thomas ROCKLIFF 1821-1901 Sarah (Lapidge) BOULTON 1817-1895

Son of Henry ROCKLIFF (farmer) and Mary ELLIOTT. Born: 25 June 1821 in Kirk Smeaton, near Doncaster in Yorkshire, ENGLAND. Baptised: at Kirk Smeaton. Remained in the Kirk Smeaton area (KirkSmeaton, Norton,Womersley and Campsall) and was a carpenter, wheelright. Married: Sarah (Lapidge) BOULTON on 26 July 1846 at Owston near Askern. Died:Thomas died 29 April 1901 and Sarah died 18 January 1895. Buried: Both are buried at Campsall cemetery in Yorkshire, ENGLAND.

Children:Henry: 9 January 1847-18 August 1856 Buried:Kirk Smeatoncemetery with grandparents Henry ROCKLIFF & Mary ELLIOT.

George: 1848-1853

John: 16 December 1849-6 November 1939=Long John, NortomJohn went to Tasmania and married Harriett ROCKLIFF (daughter of HenryROCKLIFF of "Skelbrook" Sassafras,Tasmania.) They had 2 sons & 4daughters.

James:15 December 1853-1 December 1895 married Mary HannahCOCK and had 6 sons & 1 daughter.

Thomas: 1855-1910

Francis: 1859-12 July 1899 died on return journey aftervisiting relations in Tasmania. He wrote the letters home to England. Adiary at "Springfield",Tasmania=recieved word from Norton of nephewFrancis (Frank's) death.
