Hi Jim,

Thanks for looking through your files. We often turn up interesting things there.

The article you quote is substantially correct, except for one important thing. Hannah Mabry was not the daughter of any William Mabry. She was the daughter of Seth4 (Hinchia3, Hinchia2, Francis1).

Seth was born about 1752 and married Elizabeth Sewell in Brunswick Co VA in 1771. They were in Sumner Co TN by 1798. I don't have a birth date for his daughter, Hannah.

However, Hannah was married three times:

1. Mr. Evans
2. in 1805 to Rev. Wm. Henry Crutchfield:
3. George Williamson

I doubt very much that there is a close relationship between these Sumner County Mabrys who remained there for MANY years and your Roane and Meigs County Mabrys.
