George's father died in 1829.

George's mother appear to have died in 1833, being buried at Weston on 30th June. Later that same year George also lost his wife, Elizabeth, who was 57. She was buried at Weston on 23rd December 1833.

After Elizabeth's death, the 1841 census finds George living with his brother James in Weston. George survived Elizabeth by about fifteen years. He died in 1848, aged 67.
