Two Probable Wives

Some researchers believe that it is probable that George Cockburn likely had two wives; the first was Elizabeth Snyder, and the second wife appears to have also been named Elizabeth (surname unknown).   • 1773 - George Cockburn received a deed of gift of 150 acres on the Rockfish River, Amherst Co VA, from his father-in-law John Snyder. That deed was witnessed by John Cockburn. [1]
