- Vol. 1 - APRIL 15, 1746. - (29) Geo. Cathey vs John Ouin--Pl. nonsuited and makes oath that he never employed Thos. Chew to bring suit and Judgt. vs. Thos. for costs.
- Vol. 1 - JULY 16, 1746. - (70) Robert McMahon and Samuel Lockhard being bound over to this Court for misbehaving themselves towards William Thomson in killing his hogs, horses, etc., and William saying he feared further damage--they gave bond for good behavior, George Anderson and Wm. Pierce for Lockard, James Givens and Geo. Cathey for McMahon

Land Acquisition in Burke Co, NC
- 16 Feb 1778; Land Entry Book, Burke County, NC: No. 223. George Cathy enters in Burke County Six hundred & forty Acres of Land lying on French broad River above the Sugar Loaf Mountain Where comes in a little forks on the No. West of said River and an old field on the same Side of the River including both sides of the said river for complement and a remarkable round hill below the forks on the North Side a White Oak Marked "EMD". Entered Feby 16th. 1778.
