Warning:

There are two George Betzes in the 1900 census who are not the George above (not only because "our" George died in 1893, but he would have been abt. 48, married 16 years with a wife, Margaret). These other two are:

  1. George, 33 Monroe, 42, m. Anna, fireman with niece Laura
  2. George, 528 Clinton, 26, m. Carrie, carpenter, m. 6 years; with daughter Mildred M. Betz.

Our George is likely the one who was buried at Concordia on 7/26/1893 who went by the nickname "Davie" (which is also how he is identified on his Concordia record, although George on the tombstone)
