sometimes listed as George Francis Bayer, SR. Had two wives, Mary died prior to1944 and he married a woman by the name of Bernice Pearl McKown in Morgantown, WVa, they lived on Angle Street Extended, in the 3rd house from the cornerof Angle and Ruth. This marriage had negative effects on his children. He lived after his first wife died at the top of the Bank Street hill in Brownsville,where it levels off, 2nd or 3rd house from the end on the right side. After he married Bernice he was estranged from his children as she controlled the situation. After his death she didn't share any of his things with his own children. After he remairred the youngest daughter left Browsville and moved into the home of her aut, Retta Spargo Woods. She lived with the Woods family until her death of cancer in 1964. It is said that she had a child with Earl Woods, Patrick (born 1935) and raised by her sister Elizabeth and her husband Earl Beveridge as their own.
George worked for the Pennsylbania Railroad and sometime around 1913 he was transferred from Pittsburgh to Brownville, PA. He remained in Brownsville until his death in 1944.
