Will of Francis Weir
- Page 98.--21st March, 1779. Francis Wire's (Were) will--To wife, Hannah; to sons, Daniel and Benjamin, committed to their mother's charge until they are six years old and then to be bound; to four children--Solomon, John, Daniel, Benjamin, infants. Leaves Solomon to Daniel Westfall, to be taught a trade, also a branch of shoemaker's trade. Leaves John to Benj. Wilson, to be taught a branch of weaver's trade suitable to the work of the country, and a branch of the shoemaker's trade. Executors, Benj. Wilson and Daniel Westfall. Teste: Henry Delong, George Shaver, Daniel Westfall, Benj. Wilson. Proved, 18th August, 1779, by George Shaver and Henry Delay. Executors qualify.
- Vol. 1 - APRIL 20, 1779. - (441) Executors of Francis Weir (Daniel Westfall and Benjamin Wilson) petition that appraisers be appointed for Francis's estate, as the times in that part of the country are so troublesome from the incursions of the Indians and the stock of the testator are exposed.

- Page 73.--10th September, 1772.-- Paul Shaver's estate appraised by Francis Wire (McGuire) Joseph Crouch, Conrad Good.
- Vol. 1 - MARCH 15, 1774. - (303) Wm. Gragg qualified Constable. Constables appointed: Jacob Van Matre, Dinnis Springer, John Harden, Jr., John Conner, Hennery Taylor, Thomas Bay, Francis McGuire, Andrew Ramsey, Jonathan Coborne, Jr., Thomas Douglas and Philip Ryley.
- Vol. 1 - JANUARY 19, 1779. - (393) Wm. Cleaver, Daniel Westfall, Francis Wire and John Warrick--to locate a road from Jonas Friend's to Darby Connolly's (deceased) plantation, in Tyger's Valley.
- Vol. 2 - PACKAGE MARKED "PROMISCUOUS PAPERS--A." - Thomas Williams in Hampshire County, North River, near Samuel Paston, served under Francis Ware in Braddocks war.
