    [Source: http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.counties.northumberland/580/mb.ashx]

Looking for clues to the ancestry of ... Francis H(umphrey) CHRISTIAN d 1788 Frederick Co., VA. His Will mentions "worthy friend" John S WOODCOCK. John (Sherman/Shearman) WOODCOCK was a relative of Ann (SHEARMAN) CHRISTIAN. After Francis' death, Ann 2/married 15 July 1792, Frederick Co., VA, Hezekiah BONEHAM. ...

... I already have considerable published information on early CHRISTIAN family groups in VA and, therefore, I do not believe that Francis H CHRISTIAN, who died 1788 in Frederick Co., VA, is one and the same with either Francis, son of Gideon b 1727 of New Kent Co., Va, or another later Francis CHRISTIAN who may have migrated to North Carolina.
