Facts and Events
Name Eve Shoffner
Gender Female
Birth? Abt 1792 Orange County, North Carolina
Marriage Abt 1809 to William Holt
Marriage Abt 1832 to John Muse
Death? 1872 Bedford County, Tennessee

Eve first married a William Holt and was widowed when she married John Muse. So aft 1839. So Timothy and John Jr must be from a former marriage. Perhaps John and Eve thought they "cannot live together" as long as she's living in her property? Susie Helme

From a no longer existent web site: Bedford Co DB KK:403 - 30 Jun 1841 - JOHN MUSE to EVE, his wife deed of Settlement, sells to Austin SHOFFNER, "because property belonged to Eve before marriage & they, John & Eve, cannot live together". (Apparently John & Eve separated for a time, but were shown together on all census 1850 thru 1870. Austin Shoffner was Eve's younger brother.
