    Ethel M. Clough, age 88, a resident of Clear Lake, died Monday, April 3 at the United General Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Minnesota on May 19, 1889.
    Her marriage to Joel R. Clough took place November 28, 1911 in Danube, Minnesota. She has lived in Clear Lake since 1929 except 10 years in Bremerton from 1963 to 1973. Prior to coming to Clear Lake the family lived in Wilmar, Minnesota.
    She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Roth of Tacoma; two sons, Conrad W. Clough of Clear Lake and Russell J. Clough of Moses Lake; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Noteboom of Clear Lake, Mrs. Alvina Berg of Bremerton, Mrs. Sadie Ensch of Burlington and Mrs. Alice Knott of Flagstaff, Arizona; one brother, Clarence Phiefer of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel in 1951, a son James in 1945, and a daughter Candyce in 1918.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at the Lemley Chapel with Pastor Lloyd Hawkins of the Clear Lake Community Covenant Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
    Memorials were suggested to the Clear Lake Covenant Church of which Ethel was a member since 1929.
