The will of Capt. Timothy Wheeler, dated March, 1686-87, proved by witnesses Sept. 7, 1687, contained this bequest: "I give to Jos Wheeler my brother Thomas his son all my right in ye village; also to Ephraim & Deliverance Wheeler, my brother Thomas his youngest son(s) I give ten acres of meadow, be it more or less, lying at the upper end of Elmbrook meadow, this to be equally divided between them." ...

Ephraim Wheeler ye son of Capt'n Thomas Wheeler & Ruth his wife Dyed February ye 19th, 1689.
[This record is at the start of a list that appears to be in date order. It is followed by the rest of 1689, so the year is interpreted to be 1688/89.]

  3. The estimated birth about 1660 is based on Ephraim being named before Deliverance in his uncle Timothy's will, i.e., older, and then choosing a reasonable date to reflect that.
