    Joseph Wheeler, s/o Capt. Thomas, b. probably Fairfield, CT, bef 1656 [old enough to administer estate of brother Thomas 1677], d. "Fairfield part of Stratfield Parish", CT, May 1698, m. Chelmsford 1 Mar 1681-2 Mary Power.

    The will of Capt. Timothy Wheeler, dated March, 1686-87, proved by witnesses Sept. 7, 1687, contained this bequest: "I give to Jos Wheeler my brother Thomas his son all my right in ye village; also to Ephraim & Deliverance Wheeler, my brother Thomas his youngest son(s) I give ten acres of meadow, be it more or less, lying at the upper end of Elmbrook meadow, this to be equally divided between them." ...

Josiah Adkins and Mary his wife and Edward Higby and Rebecca his wife conveyed to mother Mary Wheeler 1715. Elizabeth and Jane Wheeler conveyed 1714 rights from father Joseph Wheeler to Edward Higby. Joseph Wheeler, son of Joseph of Stratford dec'd, conveyed 1716 to mother Mary Wheeler.
