Obituary copied from Emma's Find-a-Grave memorial page: "A serious illness of a week resulted in the death of Mrs. Emma Gillman, 65, of Camden avenue, South Parkersburg, in St. Joseph's hospital at 8 p.m. Thursday. The deceased was born in Wood county and spent her entire life in this community. She was an active member of the Epworth Methodist Episcopal church and was widely known throughout he community in which she resided. She is survived by her husband, Frank G. Gillman; four daughters, Mrs. Spencer Creel, Route 5, Mrs. Clarence Headley and Miss Kathleen Gillman, all of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Richard Graf, Hollidays Cove, W.Va.; one son, Harry Gillman of South Parkersburg; three brothers, Walter and "Dutch" Jackson of Parkersburg and Bruce Jackson of Canton, Ohio, and four sisters, Mrs. Ben Cooper, Mrs. Jack Mendenhall and Mrs. Vinton Bush, all of Parkersburg and Mrs. Guy Bush of Middleport, Ohio. The body was removed to the Leavitt funeral home pending completion of arrangements. The Parkersburg News, Friday, 18 August 1939, pg. 13."
