George's obituary was copied from his Find-a-Grave memorial page: "George Franklin Gillman, 70, a retired merchant, a resident of 3702 Camden Av., South Parkersburg, died Sunday at 10:30 p.m. after an illness of two years. He had been a resident of this city for 30 years. He was a member of the Epworth Methodist church. Surviving are one son, Harry G. Gillman, of Parkersburg; four daughters, Mrs. C.M. Headley and Mrs. Spencer Creel, both of Parkersburg, Mrs. Jr.R. Graf of Holidays Cove, and Miss Kathleen Gillman, at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smith and Mrs. Clara Woodward, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Craft of Parkersburg, Also surviving are six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body was remove to the Leavitt funeral home.. Arrangements are incomplete. The Parkersburg News, Monday, 22 January 1945, pg. 3"
