    There are two conflicting years of birth given in the Sallie DeWitt 1981 Genealogy.
    On page 69 the year is given as 1869.
    On page 71A it is given as 1866.

    According to the Sallie Lee DeWitt 1981 Genealogy, Elmer's older brother Keith helped put Elmer through medical school in Little Rock. He kept a home in Charleston, Franklin County, Arkansas, but was an Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist in Little Rock. He was called out of retirement during WWII at age 76 to be a physician to the
    troops. His office remained open until a short time before his death in 1956, at age 86.
