She is named as "Adaline" in the Franklin County 1860 Census, and it further states that she was born in Illinois. The 1920 census page showing her daughter Sallie Ann (Hudson) DeWitt, lists Rebecca Adeline's state of birth as 'Arkansas' however. It appears that her father, William Northum, was living with Adaline and her husband at the time of the 1860 census. On the Hudson-Northum marriage record her first name appears to be "Remlea".

Probate records in the Franklin County Clerk's office in Ozark Arkansas showed that on 1/23/1880 the court ordered the sheriff to take charge of the estate of "Rebecca Hudson, deceased".

According to the Sallie DeWitt 1981 Genealogy, she was buried at the King Cemetery, in Grand Prarie, Franklin County, Arkansas. I (Jerry D. Abshier) visited the King Cemetery in June of 2000, but could not locate her headstone.
