Macomb Journal, 25 Apr 1889 (have copy) "Mrs. Mart Jennings, of New Salem, is very low, and Monday or present week was not expected to live. She has a child two months old, and it is feared she has blood poison. Later: -- Mrs. Jennings died Tuesday and was buried yesterday. She was a daughter of C. T. Kerr and about 30 years old."
