Person:Elizabeth Shanahan (1)

Elizabeth Shanahan was born in 1958 in the village of Foynes, Ireland. In 1877 at age 19 she was married in Foynes to Edmund (or Edward) Walsh, age 20. They continued to live in Foynes, where all nine of their children were born, and died there, Elizabeth in 1936 at the age of 78 and Edmund in 1944 at age 87.

   Elizabeth's son John Walsh was married twice. His 1911 marriage certificates lists his mother as Lizzie Shanahan, and his 1921 marriage certificate lists her as Elizabeth Shoemaker (the surname presumably a transcriptional error).
