Hi Dalton, I'm going home to SC on Tuesday, and will be staying up there indefinitely to help my daughter take care of her son. :-) GRANDMAMA TIME!!!!!!

Of course, I will have to initiate the little one into "ancestor hunting" while I'm there. I hope to bring home tons of new information and will update you as quickly as possible. I'm not sure how far we will be apart when I'm in SC - but maybe before I head back down this way we can arrange to get together. I'm taking all my "stuff" with me - I can't leave it down here to get blown away in a hurricane!!! I really looking forward to some "down" time. I've been working 16 hour days since Jan 1st, and pretty much 7 days a week - too much.

I've got just a couple of updates for you right now...... (1) William's wife's name was just Elizabeth "Betsy" and not Nancy Elizabeth. [Elizabeth had a sister Nancy Emily who never married and is buried near Asa & Nancy Littleton.]

(2) According to the granddaughter with whom Nancy (Elizabeth & Williams daughter) spent her last years, Nancy Nix Rankin's name was Nancy Emily, not Nancy Elizabeth as some records note.

I'm still trying to find the source for William's date of birth that keeps showing up in the databases on-line...it's driving me crazy. I won't put it in my "formal" history until I can confirm the information......someone, somewhere MUST have a family Bible.....otherwise, I'm not sure how they would be able to come up with a date.....but I'm unable to find out WHO has it.

Are you still loving your mac? I wouldn't have any other......Take care.
