On 27 Aug 1656, he was granted common equal with other inhabitants of Providence, including a vote. Served as town sergeant in 1662, as deputy seven times 1665-1683, and on the town council most years in the 1680s. In 1688, he was listed as having 5 cows, 2 oxen, 2 horses, 155 acres of land (140 of that forest). Died while serving as magistrate in Providence.[4] References
