 In the 1900 census for Lee, Brown Co., Illinois, Frank E. Bowen is 43 born 1856 Indiana (parents KY), farmer, married 17 years; with wife Ellen (42?)  born June 1858 IL (parents same), with 5 of 5 children living; children are William H. Aug 1885; (Earl?) M. June 1887; (?) Mar 1889; Edith E. 1891; and Daisy L. Dec 1898. His daughter Sylvia is married and living with his mother.
 In the 1910 census for Lee, Brown Co., Illinois, Edward F. Bowen is 53 IL farmer, married twice, this time for 25 years; wife Ellen is 51 IL, married once, with 5 of 5 children living; children are Earl M. 22; Myrtle M. 20; Edith S. 19 'school teacher'; and Daisy L. 11. Son Harvey is next door with wife.
