Mr. M. Norris, stage driver, between this place and Deavenport, furnishes us the particulars of a sad accident that occurred near Riley Gilbert's place at Grand Coulee last Saturday. Miss Nora Davies was returning from Ellenburg accompanied by Miss Edna Yocom, a young lady friend and former school mate. When within four miles of Mr. Gilbert's place Miss Yocom's horse took flight and she met a terrible death. When picked up her lifeless body was completely stripped of clothing. Mr. Davies started that night at 12 o'clock with the body to her friends in Ellenburg. The sad affair has cast gloom over the entire neighborhood of Mr. Davies.
