WEDDING BELLS Miss Edna Watson and F. W. Steiff United in Marriage

One of the most pretentious weddings solemnized in Greene in many years was that which united the hearts and hands of one of Greene's most popular and accomplished young ladies, Miss Edna Watson and F. W. Steiff. The ceremony took place Wednesday evening last at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Watson, Rev. F. W. Bindenburger officiating.

The bride has lived in Greene from childhood and bears a most excellent reputation. She is one of those genial companionable young women, whose manners and accomplishments have won for her the love and admiration of all her friends and acquaintences. She is indeed well fitted to be the wife of so worthy a young man as she has accepted for a husband.

On the occasion of the marriage ceremony the Watson home was beautifully decorated with white carnations and roses and the pleasant surroundings were a fitting introduction to the married life of those young people which begins under the most promising auspices.

The groom is one of the prominent business men of Montgomery, Iowa, and has sufficiently established himself in that community to warrant his future success in a business way. He has prepared a comfortable home at that place for himself and bride, to which they take the most hearty well-wishes of countless friends in and about Greene.

The out of town guests who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Steiff, Miss Beuelah Steiff, Mrs. F. H. Thomas and Master Seamon Steiff of Forest City; Miss Laura Steiff of Mason City; and Mrs. Emma Baker of Renwick.
